Beyond Apocalypse (Part 3) – The Great Crossing and Practical Transition Pathways
**
This content contains futurology based on cycle science and the mystical sciences. Contemplative thought on the themes presented is required. Some conclusions have to be reached by readers themselves. Readers are encouraged to approach the text with a critical yet open mind and to conduct their own further study.

The Apocalypse Archetype
Apokalypsis is just the Greek word that was used for the Book of Revelation, which is also more simply called the Apocalypse; in general, the term means ‘revelation,’ but specifically, it refers to the “uncovering of what has been hidden.” The root is the verb ‘kalypto’, which means “to cover or to hide”; the prefix is the preposition ‘apo’, which means ‘away or from.’ – Edward Edinger (Archetype of the Apocalypse). 1
Archetypes could be seen as frameworks, images, or ‘imprints’ in the human psyche 1. Some archetypes are recurring and are periodically triggered in the collective unconscious. Archetypes have ‘autonomous functioning’ in that they can direct and guide when appropriately identified and worked with (Jungian psychology is useful in this context).
Although people are not always consciously aware of cycles, many are subconsciously attuned to them (as explained in the previous chapter), and the ‘triggering’ of the apocalypse archetype often occurs when major cyclic shifts are about to unfold.
Typically, an apocalypse contains images of a ‘Last Judgment’ with the coming of a ‘Messiah’ or a divine king, who will impose his punishments but then reconstitute things or bring about a ‘New Order’. More particularly, this literature exhibits four chief features: 1) Revelation; 2) Judgment; 3) Destruction or Punishment (as the consequence of Judgment); and then 4) Renewal in a new World. – Edward Edinger (Archetype of the Apocalypse). 1
More specifically (within the context of cycle science), the apocalypse archetype carries mental imagery, insights, or knowledge of a potential series of internal (as well as external) events that would occur at the end of an age. Said another way, the apocalypse archetype contains an archetypal storyline that facilitates comprehension of the end times.
Although external processes of destruction might inevitably be part of an apocalypse, for depth psychology 1 the apocalypse should be processed and transcended internally 1. In the context of cycle science, this involves approaching the symbolism and meaning of the apocalypse and its archetype from a range of angles, which is one of the objectives of these essays.
Conversely, we can say that an inimical external event threatening to occur may be averted or mitigated by one’s becoming conscious of its inner, psychic origin. If a danger can be experienced psychologically, one can often be spared the concrete experience of it, and, in general, the psychic experience is much more manageable. – Edward Edinger (Archetype of the Apocalypse) 1
Balancing the Opposites
As mentioned in previous chapters, Carl Jung believed that if enough people became conscious of their tendency to project their darkness onto others, major catastrophes and an eventual real-world apocalypse, such as a third world war, could be averted.
The issue, according to the Jungian, Edward Edinger on interpreting 1 Carl Jung’s work on the subject, is (in a nutshell) that when the good in us (the light) as well its opposites (our darknesses) are not acknowledged equally on a personal level, the internal tensions of the opposites caused by the conflicted sides within us, are projected outwards onto the outside world. 1
Those projections ‘land’ on other humans and nations, leading to various justifications for external conflicts and wars. We blame the others (we find others to blame) for the things we are (as) guilty of – if not more – because we fail to own our own darknesses.
However, once our own dark tendencies and impulses (which are often, but not always, subconscious) are sufficiently faced and acknowledged, they are diminished, because when you shine light (conscious awareness) on darkness (lack of self-awareness or denial), darkness is reduced.
Additionally, for Carl Jung, Christ was a symbol of the self. 2-5 Although some Christians may take exception to this idea, within Jungian psychology, knowing what Christ, as an archetype, offers us in terms of guidance towards our authentic, core selves, is of great importance and value as far as personal growth is concerned (see also references 2-5 ).
Imitating the Ultimate Role Model
The sociologist and anthropologist René Girard concluded that since humans regularly imitate the negative behaviours of each other, leading to phenomena such as mimetic violence, mimetic spirals and mimetic contagions, the only real solution (considering the human condition and its propensities) is for people to imitate the Son of God because He abstained completely from retaliation, thereby making mimetic spirals impossible.6, 7
In other words, instead of people negatively imitating the violence of fellow humans, which Girard was certain would lead to the Biblical apocalypse, they should, as a priority, imitate the non-violence taught by Jesus, who incarnated here to set an example.
Said differently, according to Girard, people should rather imitate the ultimate Christian role model to save themselves from themselves 6, 7, because they imitate more regularly than they would admit, to the extent that they become a danger to themselves and others.
Mitigating the Apocalypse
To summarise briefly, according to the approaches touched upon by the two great thinkers mentioned above, we are challenged not to project our dark sides onto others, not to react to the darkness others project onto us, and not to imitate the negative, dark, and violent behaviours of others. These proclivities could lead to wide-scale disaster, with the first two world wars being cases in point.
From a more general, self-developmental perspective, we should always work toward becoming autonomous, self-guiding, authentic beings who have their dualities in balance and who have, through obtaining self-knowledge, become self-actualised, self-realised, and self-transcended persons who can forge their own paths (see also Earth: A Greenhouse for Soul-seeds 8).
It should be noted that neither Carl Jung nor René Girard believed that all of humanity would, en masse, adopt the approaches they offered as solutions to our present and future predicaments. On the contrary, they proposed that if significant numbers of people became sufficiently self-aware of their negative and destructive sides to the extent that they could be diminished, the severity of a real-world apocalypse may be mitigated.
The Veil is Lifting
So, apokalypsis means ‘to take the covering away’ from what had been secret or covered, revealing thereby what had previously been invisible. – Edward Edinger (Archetype of the Apocalypse). 1
Returning to the original meaning of the word ‘apocalypse’, it comes down to the fact that introspection is required, which is an important formality during organised rites of passage.
Hence, contextually, it is worth pondering what it might be that is being revealed about us at the end of this age, as that which has until now remained hidden is becoming evident as the veil is lifted.
Transformation and Transcendence
Through introspection and by facing and processing their inner darkness, conscious navigators engage in self-purifying processes and become the remnant in spirit who have understood the objectives of the apocalypse archetype and have transcended the apocalypse by balancing their dark and light opposites within themselves, rather than contributing to the apocalypse externally.
Being moulded in the furnace of the Apocalypse Era brings humanity to a new level of mental and spiritual maturity, with improved self-awareness. An elevated level of consciousness follows, as the ‘prospective’ remnant enters the new World as the remnant, having facilitated the transition into the new World through their conscious co-creation 9 activities.
Side note: Planning for the future is important. With the post-Apocalypse Era in mind, navigators keep moving. They stay focused, activated, and engaged rather than ‘caught like deer in the headlights’ by apocalyptic imagery, thoughts, and fears. Instead, they are actively engaged in inner transformation activities and similar practices, as discussed above (see also Practical Transition Pathways at the end of this chapter).
Exploring Apocalypse: ‘Apocatastasis’ (Restoration, Renovation & Restitution)
No person goes through the apocalyptic process simply to experience the destruction of what he or she holds dear: the whole point is to clear away the detritus of a life that he or she has outgrown. In a similar way, our collective global society is now being challenged to open up to radically new ways of thinking, so as to replace a Civilization that has grown stale and inappropriate with a world that works for everyone. (The Apocatastasis of Global Civilisation). 10
Apokatastasis is an ancient Greek word that dates back to the fourth century BCE. 10, 12 The word has a variety of similar or related meanings in different contexts.
Apocatastasis refers to the restoration of a being to its natural state or a return of something to its origin (according to Aristotle 11, 12). It is about a ‘resetting’, a re-establishing or a restitution. In terms of inner transitions, it refers to the restoration of the soul from a non-differentiated and corrupted state (as understood by various ancient sources 11).
Apocatastasis in the context of Christianity means the definitive achievement of what God has promised through his prophets and indicates the accomplishment and fulfilment of the Gospels, according to André Méhat. 13 – Encyclopedia.com (Apocatastasis). 11
Apocatastasis refers to a time when human hearts would be led back to God, 11 and also to the return to Christ and the return of Christ. This would result in (among other things) a ‘divine renewal of creation’ of ‘restoration of all things’ and of being ‘set free from bondage to decay.’ 14
Additionally, Revelation 21:1-5 describes a ‘new heaven and a new earth’ where “the old order of things has passed away.” These references underscore that the notion of restoration is woven throughout Scripture as part of God’s redemptive plan. – Bible Hub (What does Apocatastasis mean?) 14
Apocatastasis and the End of the Cycle
The end of the precessional cycle recurs frequently in literature about the apocalypse. Apocatastasis had direct relevance to the Great Year. It referred to the stars returning to their original positions in the sky, 11 which relates to the 26,000-year precessional cycle coming full circle, bringing the stars back to the same positions they occupied one full precessional cycle ago.
“The astronomic teaching on the Apocatastasis was refined by the Stoics, who identified it with the sidereal Great Year concluded either by a kataklusmos (flood) or by an ekpurosis (conflagration).” – Encyclopedia.com (Apocatastasis) 11
A Return to the Beginning
Job Ajaw [The Maya Fifth World] is one cycle in the Nimahaah, or Long Count, a period of 26,000 years divided into five periods of 5,200 years, each relating to the movement of the sun with respect to the Milky Way. The Grandfathers call this ‘a return to the beginning.’ – Carlos Barrios (The Book of Destiny) 15 [note: 5,200 years in Maya terms equate to 5,125 Gregorian years].
Entering the Maya’s Fifth World in 2012 symbolised for the Mayas a return to the beginning 15 , much as Apocatastasis was understood in relation to the apocalypse.
This is also in line with Carl Jung’s concept of individuation, which involves returning to one’s whole, authentic, core (higher) self in the microcosm, leading to the same for nations and peoples in the macrocosm.
These processes will be facilitated by the Mayas’ Great Shift into their Fifth World Cycle, which commenced at the end of 2012 and will unfold over many decades.
Energetically, everything will be returning to its own unique centre. In other words, there will be multiple centres. Within each centre is where the connection to the metaphysical Universal Centre resides – and that would also be relevant to us – and so, we humans will be prompted to return to our core selves, too. (The Maya World Tree 16).
The Core Transition Era

The Great Year’s ‘reset’ and rebirth have been identified to occur between 2027 and 2032 (in 2030/2031 to be exact) as explained in a chapter titled Preparing for the Hero’s Journey. 17 This transition is marked and symbolised by the centring of the winter solstice sun’s transit path in 2030/2031 17, 18 in the Cygnus constellation region of the Dark Rift in the Milky Way, which contains the Northern Cross. According to ancient mythologies, Cygnus (the swan) symbolically lays an egg at the beginning of the new World Cycle. 17, 19
Fig. 4: Cygnus by Johann Bayer in his Uranometria (1603) – Barry Lawrence Ruderman, Antique Maps Inc. (source) 41
Importantly, the transition period actually began in 1998, when the winter solstice sun was in conjunction with the galactic equator. In light of this, it could be concluded that the old precessional cycle closed in 1998 and the new 26,000-year cycle opens at the end of 2031. Consequently, we are metaphorically traversing ‘no man’s land’ between 1998 and 2032 – and this is the ‘birth canal zone’. A Maya katun shift happens at the end of 2032, which is of additional importance. 20

Fig. 5: The December solstice Sun lies on the galactic equatorial node in 1998 when the vernal axis is perpendicular to the galactic equatorial axis – by Nick Anthony Fiorenza (source) 42
To summarise, the 34 years spanning 1998 through to 2032 could be considered the core transition era, a time of deep liminality. For this reason, there is no doubt in this writer’s mind that we are presently just like their Hero Twins 21 journeying through the mythological underworld of the Mayas, called Xibalba. 23
Fig. 6: The sun in front of the Dark Rift in 2012 by Thomas Razzeto (source) 43
When the Hero Twins reached a crossroads in the underworld and chose the black road of Xibalba, they went along the Xibalba be, or ‘’underworld road,’’ a branch of the Milky Way [sky-tree 22] with a rift or cleft (from the Northern Cross south to Sagittarius). At the opposite side of the Milky Way, we find the ‘’white road’. Dennis Tedlock points out that the crossroads is the point where the ecliptic crosses the rift or cleft in the Milky Way – Susan Milbrath (Star Gods of the Maya). 23
The year 2012 was not a ‘non-event’, as many people subsequently assumed after ‘nothing happened’ on December 21, 2012. It indicated, according to Maya mythology, the commencement of the transition journey of their Hero Twins between two world cycles through the underworld situated in the sky-tree 22, in the Milky Way 22, 23).
The Great Crossing Between the Cosmic Crosses at the Celestial Crossroads
In the first quarter of 2026 (the time of writing), we find ourselves between Cosmic Crosses at the Celestial Crossroads. The events of 1998, 2012, and 2030 all symbolise crosses, crossroads, and/or crossing over, in some form or another. It is during this very significant time period that major changes and transitions are taking place in the world at large, as conscious navigators and observant spectators of world affairs can attest to, through unfolding geopolitical events and developments. All three major shifts (in 1998, 2012, and 2030) refer to death, transition, and rebirth when viewed through their symbolism and mythology.

Fig 7: Art: Wilhelm Schickard’s Crux Christi (1623), Die Astroscopium – Culture and Cosmos, Vol 4, No. 2 (source) 44
The 2030-shift is especially relevant to Christian definitions and interpretations of the word Apocatastasis (as presented earlier). The significance of symbolism attached to artistic depictions and imagery of the Cygnus constellation and the Northern Cross in the context of the birth of a New Age is not lost on deeply spiritual people, considering the meaning of the word Apocatastasis. 11, 14
In illustrated planispheres from the seventeenth century onwards, Cygnus is shown sometimes as Christ on the Cross, with six of the asterism’s most prominent stars corresponding perhaps to the approximate positions of the Crown of Thorns, the three nails in Jesus’s hands and feet, the wound in his thigh made by the lance, and, finally, his Sacred Heart. In fact, the identification of Cygnus with the Cross of Calvary, a symbol of death and redemption for Christians worldwide, goes back at least to AD 592. – Andrew Collins (The Cygnus Mystery). 19
The Half-Round Shift of 1998/2000
Cycles are spirals, and spirals function like waves. For cycles to rotate and have movement, there has to be polarity, meaning that one-half contains positive polarity and the other half contains negative polarity. This is a fundamental principle in the universe and also applies to the precessional cycle. 45
Fig. 8: Sine Wave Diagram of Long-Term History by Roger Hathaway (source) 45
The shift between the two 13,000-year half-cycles of the precessional cycle occurred in 1998 (sometimes rounded to the year 2,000). Apart from other shifts mentioned in this essay, this was and continues to constitute a very important event (the galactic conjunction in 1998). This shift is still in progress and will continue long after the core transition era has completed. Energy shifts always take time to grow and fully manifest, but new realities will increasingly be felt as time passes.
Fig. 9: The Opening of the Earth’s Precessional Cross by Nick Anthony Fiorenza (source) 46
Briefly, we are entering a new 12,886-year (to be exact) half-cycle of a higher, brighter, and more enlightened consciousness, during which we will return to (and rediscover) ancient spiritual knowledge and consciousness. During the process, we are leaving behind the darker, lower-order part of the old half-round (of the pre-1998 era). What this additional information reveals is that the core transition era is, at the same time, a full-round and a half-round shift (discussed further in the next chapter).
The Millennium Era and Era-2012: An Overview
Many people have made predictions about the Millennium era (the years surrounding the year 2000) in general, going back decades and centuries. In more recent times, the author John Major Jenkins referred to this time period as Era-2012 24 in reference to the Maya’s Great Cycle Shift in 2012, but incorporating the years surrounding 2012 as well, an approach which, due to its vagueness, drew criticism from some astronomers and other writers. 18, 25
Although the years 1998, 2012 and 2030 all relate to different and separate (yet symbolically similar) cyclic shifts, Mr Jenkins’s work nevertheless brought important attention to the world about the Mayas’ mythology surrounding their Great Cycle Shift of 2012, as well as to relevant and related Vedic and Egyptian beliefs and mythologies.
With subsequent additional research and clarifications by various people, it is now possible to pinpoint the actual transition points more precisely (and to separate some that were conflated), which exemplifies the work of cycle scientists. They build on the work already done by others to clarify and deepen knowledge that has been lost or hidden, rediscovered and reconstructed from various fragments, combined with new research. This adds to humanity’s pool of knowledge, which others can draw on to continue the work.
Detailed Overview: The Great Crossing (Highlighting the Three Crosses at the Celestial Crossroads)
Fig. 9: Grand View: The Great Crossing with Maya and Yuga Cycles Side by Side – Detailed
This segment proposes that the 34-year core transition era – The Crossing between the Cosmic Crosses at the Celestial Crossroads – might be termed The Great Crossing for simplification.
To recap the above discussion in a nutshell, the Millennium Era, Era-2012, The Great Crossing, and the Apocalypse Era all refer to the same general transition period, with emphasis on different aspects. All the shift points and midpoints of The Great Crossing are listed below. The celestial crosses are depicted in Fig. 9.
• Year: 1998. Event: The galactic equator conjunction. This was the first crossing at the first cross at the celestial crossroads. This was also the start of the precessional cycle’s half-round shift, (more details in the next chapter).
• Year: 2000. Events: The arrival of the Millennium 26 & the Y2K Panic – widespread computer-related interruptions were expected 27. Celebrations: Millennium celebrations.
• Year: 2012. Event: The end of the Maya Long Count Calendar & Maya Baktun Shift. 28 This was the second crossing at the second cross at the celestial crossroads. Ceremonies: Maya and 2012 Great Cycle Shift and Baktun Shift ceremonies, in Yucatan and around the world. 28, 29 Note: The 2012 shift-point was about one-third into the Great Crossing (14 years after 1998 and 20 years before 2032).
• Year: 2015. This was not a shift year, simply a mid-point marker of The Great Crossing (the 34-year core transition period from 1998 to 2032).
• Year: 2020. Event: The Vedic Subsubyuga Shift (the arrival of light triggers darkness – for details see the chapter, The Lights Along the Way). 17 Occurrences: COVID-19-related lockdowns, quarantines, flight restrictions, etc. This was the start of the End Times according to some religious elders, which is why this time period since 2020, could be termed the Apocalypse Era.
• Year: 2027. Mid-point marker of the 145-year annual crossing of the winter solstice sun in the Northern Hemisphere in the Dark Rift of the Milky Way (in the Cygnus Rift region) from 1955 until 2100. (For details, see also the chapter Preparing for the Hero’s Journey). 17
• Years: 2030 & 2031. Event: The centring of the winter solstice sun’s transit path in the Cygnus and Northern Cross region of the Milky Way’s Dark Rift. This will be the third crossing at the third cross at the celestial crossroads marking the birth of the new Precessional Cycle. Some people also view the year 2030 as the start of the Messianic Age.
• Year: 2032. Event: Maya katun shift: Katun 2 Ahau shifts to Katun 13 Ahau, which is the final 19.7-year katun-age in the 256-year Katuns Cycle (discussed in The Cyclic Reordering of Civilisations 20).
The Activation and Reactivation of the Apocalypse Archetype
Reflecting, there is no question that the archetype of the apocalypse was triggered and on display in societies in the years running up to the years 2,000 and 2012, as well as at the start of 2020 when the Covid-era commenced in February of that year. A palpable end of the world atmosphere was present in all three cases.
In 2020, it was undeniable that something drastic and abnormal was unfolding, and it would not be surprising to see the apocalypse archetype triggered again as we approach 2030, 2031, and 2032, considering that we are in a general era of apocalypses. Moreover, events in the Gulf states and the Middle East as of the end of February 2026 bring this factor into sharp focus.
At the time of writing (first quarter of 2026), we are more than two-thirds into the Great Crossing from 1998 to 2032. As already stated, the years 2030 and 2031 will mark our symbolic entry into the new precessional cycle, when Cygnus the Swan gives birth at the Northern Cross into a New Precessional World Cycle.
In 2032, we will enter Katun 13 Ahau in the Maya Short Count Calendar (i.e., the Katun Cycle), which has historically brought great change but also major turmoil 21), which is another reason why the apocalypse archetype might be triggered around that time. Katun 13-Ahau is also the most spiritual segment in the 256-year Katuns Cycle, which brings positive anticipation for the era to commence notwithstanding that it would be an unstable time period.
Once again, the increasing turmoil and instability in the world in general should be viewed as birthing pains of the new World during the Great Crossing. Some of the most profound spiritual and societal shifts are expected to unfold in the immediate years ahead.
Transition Guides in the Making
The prospective remnant are not necessarily spiritual masters, but they take their guidance from the masters. They are undergoing processes that may enable them, too, to become spiritual guides and ‘way-showers’. Their main objective is to Navigate the Greatest Shift in 26,000 Years the best they can, as a calling.
Navigators who self-identify as the prospective remnant take a natural interest in what transitions are all about, to understand them more deeply, so they may become guides for the future remnant, recognising that the overall transition is a multi-decade, multi-generational phenomenon.
Ideal candidates are truth and heart-oriented modern shamans in training who would, by their commitment to the calling, lead themselves – and by extension others – out of the underworld. The learner becomes the teacher, and the teacher becomes the guide.
Subjects such as liminality, rites of passage, individuation, transcending the opposites, and ancient calendar systems would be among the subjects they would want to become familiar with, while introspection would not be something they would shy away from.
Additionally, they are persons who are in touch with their archetypal roles during the Great Crossing – and beyond – according to their predefined missions; meaning they would be prepared to discover what those are if they had not already done so (see also The Keys to Conscious Co-creation 9).
Contemplation and Introspection
First, the universe is naturally facilitating this movement by our entering the Fifth World, which is energetically situated in the centre of the metaphysical World Tree […] Second, the expectation of people being co-creators means that we can meet the universe halfway during this process. We can actively engage in knowing ourselves better through introspection and reflection, combined with acknowledgement and correction, which would guide us to act in accordance with our authentic higher selves. (The Maya World Tree 16).
Reflective introspection and deep contemplation are processes that are part of the inner rites of passage we undergo to transcend our old selves and align with the more truth-oriented, balanced and harmonious World that lies beyond the transition and turmoil eras.
To have an enlightened vision for a new World, the prospective remnant would first have to contemplate and acknowledge their own darkness, as well as the darkness of the underworld surrounding them, starting with the recognition that they, too, have participated in the arrival of the Modern Tower of Babel.
Everybody Wants to Rule the World
If there is one thing that humans avoid most, it is facing their own darkness. Our darkness lies in our mimicry rather than in our authentic behaviour; in our projections rather than in owning our own darkness. This is shown by our scapegoating 30 others rather than taking responsibility for the repercussions of our own actions; it is revealed by our double standards, our envy, and our greed.
Our darknesses (in the East and West) are in our coveting of others’ properties and resources, in our lack of compassion, and in our indifference to the plight of others (even when we may have brought those plights about). It is in our demands for control and in our aspirations to rule (the entire) world (among other things). Should these traits be carried forward into the next World, would that new World not suffer the same fate?
These characteristics have played a powerful role in this version of humanity over the last 100 years, which has been the most violent century on record. 31 It is these traits, in their extremes, that are driving this World Cycle to an end.
A question worth pondering is whether the higher and brighter energies of the new World would allow us to carry such dark traits forward if we are unable to transcend them. Would the violent and destructive inclinations, preoccupations and propensities within the current version of humanity be compatible with the higher, more elevated energy configurations of upcoming energy cycles?
Beyond the Apocalypse Era: Towards A More Natural Order
Cyclically, we are moving toward a more natural order as we return to the beginning. As a result, we are becoming more adept at aligning ourselves with the hidden natural laws of the cosmos. The greatest spiritual masters and prophets have foretold these developments during this significant time period. Should we not strive to be our best selves, considering the privilege of being present during this rarest of time periods?
Beyond the Apocalypse Era, we are heading toward a more decentralised, structured, conscious, truthful, frugal, balanced, less violent, more traditional, more spiritual, mystical World and accompanying world-views.
Practically, the ever-increasing centralisation and collectivisation that has become so evident in recent years in an ever-increasing, ultra-materialistic, upside-down world, devoid of any real spirituality (i.e. the Modern Tower of Babel) can only be offset by shift navigators orienting themselves in the opposite direction toward mindsets that are contrary to the mindsets that have led the world here.
Shift Navigation Through Cycle Science
It is suggested that actively engaging in shift navigation activities provides closure by accepting that the current cycle is ending, and it provides direction rather than procrastinating in the face of confusion and uncertainty in the world at large. If the end of the cycle cannot be avoided – considering that everything is on a timeline – it would only make sense to prepare for the new cycle.
Being comfortably numb in the underworld is not a navigation strategy. For a cycle scientist, there is only one way forward: either engage in the navigation processes or be left behind in the consciousness of the underworld.
Knowing what the New Cycle (and its cycles within) might bring could ease the transition processes, and cycle science can provide orientation and direction (the book, Navigating the Greatest Shift in 26,000 Years 17 provides foundational information).
Gearing Up for Departure
The next segment introduces the outlines of (two initial) inner transition pathways that are based on readings previously done of the main cycle shifts. These are practical, logical pathways that can have positive, real-world impacts. They are self-explanatory and make sense within the context of liminality, which allows navigators to orient themselves in the current dense valley of shadows toward the New Mountains of Light.
The more pathfinders contemplate each path as they follow it, the more naturally the paths will open up and lead them in the right direction as they make headway. By studying cycles and drawing on mystical insights, navigators can become adept at discerning additional transition routes, which is why this work, although not for everyone, is crucial during these darkening times – we are not out of the woods yet.
Practical Transition Pathways
Pathfinders initially set out from deep, dense forests. The going can be slow at first, and many difficulties may be encountered. With much effort, higher ground is reached, offering better visibility. Paths become clearer and increasingly higher altitudes are reached. Pathfinders are now able to shine light down into the dense, dark valleys below.
All pathways are treks that must be made through internal and external resistances, obstacles, and challenges. Trekkers cross difficult terrains to reach elevated planes. In the process, they identify what ails the old world and what would serve the new World, having taken the initiative to make the journey there. These are their contributions in terms of facilitating the birth of the New Sun.
To summarise, the ideal pathfinders (1) identify that which does not serve the old World anymore. They (2) transition through the void between the old and new Worlds (in advance) and identify what would serve the new World. They return from their journeys to (3) present new truths for a new World, having obtained insights through their pathfinding quests and expeditions.
1. Pathway to Truth:
Orientation: The Vedic Subsubyuga Shift in 2020 takes the world into a more truth-oriented reality (for details, see the chapter: The Lights Along the Way 17).
Missions: Identify old, stale and inverted ‘truths’ (i.e. untruths) that do not serve the world any more; and identify new authentic truths in line with the new cycle’s energies that serve the New World.
The Trek: This mission demands a trek through obstacles and challenges such as mainstream assumptions, inverted truths, contradictions, ambiguity, vagueness, dual meanings, misattributions, omissions, paradoxes, double standards, blind spots, generalisations, group-think, popular dogmas, “consensus science”, echo chamber discourse, and silo thinking.
Output samples: A Crisis in Thinking and the Way Out (The Greatest Trek) 32; Truth and Energy at the Crossroads 33; Peak Energies in the Spotlight. 34
Practical applications: Trekkers on the Pathway to Truth function as bringers of consciousness because Truth is the Light of Consciousness. Authentic truths help flip inversions back to right side up normalities.
2. Pathway to Harmony:
Orientation 1: The Maya Long Count Great Cycle Shift, from their Fourth to Fifth World in 2012 brought a time of new harmony and a synthesis of the energies of their previous four world cycles, with a special element added which will take time to unfold (for details, see: The Maya World Tree 16; The Fifth World 35; The Fifth Sky 36).
Orientation 2: The Maya Short Count Katuns Cycle Shift, from Katun 2 Ahau to Katun 13 Ahau in 2032, will mark a 19.7-year period during which civilisations have historically experienced major turmoil and reordering, after which rebalancing will occur (see also: The Cyclic Reordering of Civilisations 20).
Mission 1: To identify personal imbalances and conflicts, prejudices, hatreds, projections, hypocrisy, hubris, double standards, bigotry and lack of compassion internally. Clearly define personal value systems. Critically evaluate personal moral development and strengthen moral autonomy. Rebalance and improve internal elements and structures as required.
Mission 2: To identify instances of imbalance, conflicts and disunity in the physical world; identify solutions within one’s own culture, nation and region, and identify them in the world at large.
The treks: These missions demand treks through internal and external forms of resistance and complications, such as indifference, avoidance of introspection, denial, egotism, hubris, distractions, addictions, digressions, superiority complexes, partisanship, tribalism, and identity politics.
Output samples: The Yin and Yang of Spirituality and the Future of Humanity 37; Unity in Diversity vs Disunity in Ideologies 38; Earth: A Greenhouse for Soul Seeds 8.
Practical applications: Trekkers on this path function as paradigm balancers and pillar raisers.
